Isembard is hiring for this role in several places. This vacancy is in US.
The role
Deployed Factory Engineer
Deploy into factories to implement the Isembard operating playbook - teach it, audit against it, and protect the standard after launch.
A factory network is only as good as its worst site. This is a field-based operations role: you deploy into factories, work directly with operators and network partners, and make each site run to the Isembard standard. Technical competence matters, but communication is the differentiator - you must learn the operating playbook in depth, apply it practically, teach it clearly, and audit against it honestly.
What you'll own
Site readiness, and the standard after launch. You will support factory setup, onboarding and operating-model implementation at new and existing sites, translating the playbook into practical shop-floor execution across production flow, documentation, communication cadence and MasonOS adoption. You will train site teams and explain technical concepts in language people can act on. You will audit factories against the playbook, produce clear findings and corrective action plans, and escalate when a site is not ready - while keeping the trust of the people you are auditing. Lessons from each deployment go back into the SOPs, checklists and training material, so the next site is easier than the last.
What you'll bring
Strong operating experience in a demanding, practical environment, and outstanding written and verbal communication. You need technical curiosity, the ability to learn systems quickly, and the judgment to hold a high bar without losing the room. Frequent travel, including extended site deployments, is inherent to the role. Useful but not essential: SOP or quality-system implementation, process engineering, military operations or logistics, and exposure to AS9100, ITAR or export control. The role is based in London or Dallas.
