Casual C&E Waiter

The role

The Casual C&E Waiter plays a key role in creating memorable experiences for our conference and events guests, providing warm and sincere service at every touch point.

• Provide warm, professional and attentive service to all conference and event guests.
• Prepare event spaces including setting up tables, chairs, equipment and service stations according to event specifications.
• Serve food and beverages efficiently, confidently and in line with hotel standards.
• Support with buffet setup, replenishment and clearance throughout service.
• Ensure all areas are kept clean, tidy and presentable before, during and after events.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth event operations.
• Handle guest enquiries in a friendly and proactive manner, escalating issues when necessary.
• Follow cash-handling, billing and posting procedures when required.
• Maintain stock levels of equipment and supplies used during events.
• Ensure full Health & Safety and Food Hygiene compliance within the department.
• Assist with post-event breakdown and reset for upcoming functions.
• Work collaboratively as part of the Conference & Events team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

If you're our ideal Casual Waiter, you will have:

• Previous experience in hospitality, banqueting, events or restaurant service (preferred but not essential).
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent guest service.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, professional manner.
• The ability to work well under pressure during busy event operations.
• Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
• A proactive, positive attitude and a strong team ethic.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends and peak event periods.
• Basic knowledge of food hygiene and Health & Safety practices (training can be provided).
