Cross Gates Primary School is a welcoming Primary School located in the heart of East Leeds. We pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment where we know our children as individuals and we tailor our teaching, learning and nurture to their needs. Our school community is built on strong values of aspiration and care, ensuring that every child feels valued and motivated to succeed. We are committed to creating a positive, supportive atmosphere where staff and pupils thrive together.
We are seeking to appoint a compassionate and dedicated SEND TA to work with our children who have additional needs, particularly those with complex communication needs or children with Social and Emotional needs.
As a SEND TA, you will play a vital role in supporting SEND pupils with complex needs. Under the direction of the SENDCO and class teachers, you will support them to access the curriculum through adaptations and adjustments and to develop their communication and SEMH skills in a safe, nurturing environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work closely with experienced staff and contribute to our school's inclusive ethos. If you are passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with complex special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), we would love to hear from you!
Cross Gates Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of its pupils and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We promote diversity and want a workforce that reflects the population of Leeds.

A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check against the Children's barred list will be carried out on preferred candidates. Read our recruitment of ex-offenders policy.
We welcome applications from everyone and actively seek a diverse range of applicants from all backgrounds and cultures. We particularly encourage applications from, but not limited to, women, carers, veterans as well as LGBT+, ethnically diverse, disabled and care experienced people.
