Leeds City Council is the local government authority for the city of Leeds in the United Kingdom. Its teams deliver over 500 different services every day to support residents and the city environment, spanning areas such as waste and recycling, council tax, housing, schools and education, health and social care, public health, planning, libraries, and leisure and attractions.
With people at the heart, the council aims to recruit and develop talented individuals who are committed to making a difference to its communities, who treat people fairly and who are focused on finding better ways of doing things. Its employment practices and staff benefits are designed to reward colleagues fairly, develop their careers, support their wellbeing and help their money go further.
We are a large school with 287 pupils on roll, 39 members of staff and very low staff turnover, so it is especially exciting to have the opportunity to recruit a new member of staff to join our Teaching Assistant team. We pride ourselves on our happy children who love coming to school. All staff build positive relationships with children and their parents/carers to support everyone to achieve their learning goals and fulfil their potential.
A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check against the Children's barred list will be carried out on preferred candidates. Read our recruitment of ex-offenders policy.
We welcome applications from everyone and actively seek a diverse range of applicants from all backgrounds and cultures. We particularly encourage applications from, but not limited to, women, carers, veterans as well as LGBT+, ethnically diverse, disabled and care experienced people.
