Kitchen Porter

The role

The Kitchen Porter is responsible for maintaining the highest standard of cleaning, sanitation and cost of operations consistent within the Food and Beverage goals and objectives.

• Performs duties in line with departmental Standard Operating Procedures and complies with all Back of House and relevant hotel policies and procedures.
• Ensure all team members follow the company's code of conduct this includes the following company policies
• Complies with and applies all Human Resource procedures and policies in the Management of team members
• Ensures that all Goodwood SOP's are adhered to at all times
• Welcoming new members to the team, both agency and those directly employed by the Royal Garden Hotel.
• Ensures breakage of china, glassware and silverware is kept to a minimum.
• Ensures staff complies with safety programmes as instructed by Management and all safety standards are enforced with regards to proper usage of chemicals under COSHH, proper moving of equipment, proper footwear and proper back care procedures for all stewarding colleagues.

• Hotel fire procedures
• Hotel security procedures
• Hotel health and safety policy and procedures
• Accident reporting procedures
• Hotel departmental codes of conduct
• Operating standards and procedures within the department
