This role is based in the UK. Home Office guidance states that candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK prior to commencing employment, either as a UK or Irish citizen, under the EU Settlement scheme or having secured any other relevant work visa.

If you do not have the right to work in the UK, you must consider your own eligibility for sponsorship for a particular role through the Skilled Worker visa route before applying. To be eligible for sponsorship you'll usually need to be paid the standard salary rate of at least £41,700 per year or meet one of the other eligibility criteria. Please ensure you are eligible before applying.

The role

We are looking to recruit an inspirational and dedicated individual to support the effective operation of Restart, the school's internal inclusion provision, by providing consistent, calm and relational support to pupils who require time away from mainstream lessons due to significant or persistent behavior concerns, serious incidents, or difficulties accessing school.

What you'll do

The Restart Key Worker will work closely with the Restart and Reach College team, pastoral staff, teaching staff, attendance team and wider school community to help pupils regulate their behavior, engage with learning, develop positive relationships and successfully reintegrate into mainstream education.

The role will also provide targeted support to pupils who are hard to reach or experiencing difficulties with school attendance, helping them to establish positive routines, build confidence and increase their engagement with school. The successful candidate will be willing to do 'whatever it takes' to ensure our pupils/students reach their full potential.
We are incredibly proud, as a truly comprehensive school which reflects the cosmopolitan make up of Leeds, to be recognised again by Ofsted as an 'outstanding school'. We would encourage you to view our most recent Ofsted report from November 2023 which is available on our website.
