What does this team do?
The technology landscape is evolving at an unprecedented pace, transforming how organisations operate and compete. In the context of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), technology presents both significant opportunities and substantial risks.
Deloitte's M&A Technology team - part of the wider Deal Transformation & Post Merger Integration (DT&PMI) team - helps buyers and sellers identify, protect, and unlock the full value of technology and digital assets throughout the transactions process. We support clients through complex technological challenges, enabling informed decision-making and successful negotiations.
What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
You'll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2027 for the Autumn 2027 intake.

What kind of work will I do?
Deloitte's M&A Technology team plays a critical role in today's M&A advisory landscape, including providing in-depth due diligence on technology, AI, IT functions, and cybersecurity-essential elements in every deal.
You will work with clients to help them deliver their strategic M&A objectives wherever technology is involved. You will advise stakeholders of the role of technology in executing deals and delivering value across mergers, acquisitions, divestments and performance improvement initiatives.
Your role will allow you to work across a range of sectors, with professionals from across the M&A business, as well as the rest of the Deloitte. You will gain experience of the whole deal life cycle and the impact of technology on business performance through developing a rounded understanding of all technology domains.
Where will I work?

We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.
How will I develop?
As a Graduate within M&A Technology, you will complete the CIMA qualification.
You'll begin with a comprehensive induction programme, equipping you with the skills and confidence to work with our clients. Ongoing professional development will be provided through your project team, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
You will also build knowledge and understanding of how established IT platforms, software, cyber and corporate IT solutions underpin business models and how emerging technologies are a critical enabler for growth and competitive advantage.
The combination of financial understanding through CIMA, technology knowledge and project management skills will provide you will the rounded skillset to operate across the end-to-end M&A life cycle from technology due diligence through to IT separation or integration and downstream IT transformation.
