The role

Programme

BrightStart Higher Apprenticeship

What kind of work will I do?

On this programme, you will be joining a large cohort of like-minded colleagues. At the start of your programme, you will be part of an induction programme where you will learn a multitude of skills to help you become ready and feel confident working with our clients. From day one, you'll be working with some of the world's largest organisations, tackling real-world ethics and compliance challenges with dynamic and passionate team members.

This could include a number of tasks and activities such as:

  • Designing systems so companies can follow the rules and regulations more effectively
  • Evaluating how well companies are doing in this area
  • Helping tech companies comply with new laws like the UK Online Safety Act and EU Digital Services
  • Creating processes and tools to meet current and future regulations
  • Finding ways to improve efficiency using technology.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

All our work spaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.

How will I develop?

We're committed to providing you with the tools and experiences to accelerate your growth. You'll build your expertise through real-world projects, collaborating with leading experts and tackling complex challenges alongside a supportive and passionate team. We'll accelerate your growth with a comprehensive induction, tailored development opportunities, and mentorship to guide your journey. You'll learn by doing, applying your skills to deliver impactful solutions for some of the world's most prominent organisations.

As an Ethics and Regulatory Compliance Brightstart, you'll undertake a nationally recognised apprenticeship in Risk & Compliance and by the end of the programme you will have obtained a degree equivalent, level 6 certification.

Prior experience working in regulatory compliance is not required, however broad knowledge about current and emerging regulations in the UK and EU would serve you well in this role.

Application Deadlines

Application deadlines: The closing deadline for this role is Monday 19 October 2026 (10.00am BST) but we recommend getting your application in as soon as possible. Please note, some of our roles may close before the deadline if we experience high demand.

Assessment deadlines: Once you've applied to this role, you'll receive an email from our recruitment team outlining next steps and the relevant deadlines for you to complete the following stages of our process.

We operate a strict one application per year policy across our Early Careers opportunities. We recommend only submitting an application for a role that you feel is right for you.

Visa Sponsorship: Please note that the salary for this role does not meet the minimum threshold required under the Immigration Rules for Skilled Worker visa sponsorship and therefore we're unable to progress applications from candidates who require Skilled worker sponsorship.
