What does this team do?

Our global Human Capital practice unlocks human potential for individuals, organisations and society. We connect human experience with agentic and technological advancement in an ever-changing world and create the conditions for successful transformation, empowering people to thrive in a new reality.

Under our Technology & Transformation business, Human Capital operates across four core teams: HR Strategy & Transformation, Organisation & Workforce Transformation, Major Programmes, and Actuarial, Insurance & Banking.

This job description covers HR Strategy & Transformation (Advisory), Organisation & Workforce Transformation, and Major Programmes. You will join us in one of these three areas.

HR Strategy & Transformation (Advisory): The future of HR demands major shifts in mindset, roles, capabilities and digital enablers, with reinvention at the core. We empower the HR function through end-to-end solutions spanning strategy, design, implementation and operations. Our HR Strategy & Transformation Advisory teams work across public, financial and private sectors and employee experience; these teams look to transform HR functions and explores people-focused tech and end-to-end employee experience, collaborating closely with our colleagues in HR Applications, who work directly with the largest Cloud software technologies in the market (Oracle, SAP, Workday) and emerging technologies. We are at the forefront of using artificial intelligence, including generative AI and HR-specific AI technologies, to transform HR functions and deliver exceptional employee experiences, while keeping people at the centre of organisational thinking.

Organisation & Workforce Transformation: Globally, organisations across public, financial and private sectors face significant external forces, from sustainability and climate to emerging technologies. Organisation & Workforce Transformation interrogates how best to align an organisation's operating model, structure, talent, leadership, and culture, with a business strategy that addresses these external forces. We work with organisations to deliver true transformation and sustain it over time, and collaborate across the Deloitte network to make work better for humans, and humans better at work.

Major Programmes: Today, organisations across all sectors face unprecedented economic, environmental and societal change. Meeting these challenges requires investment in transformation and future-facing infrastructure but, due to their inherent complexity, many of these investments never deliver the required benefits. Deloitte Major Programmes specialises in the design, mobilisation, delivery and recovery of high-investment, high-impact transformation and infrastructure programmes. We draw on expertise from across Deloitte to put people at the heart of our clients' most challenging initiatives.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

This programme is for university students who are doing well academically and want to test their skills in the real world.

You must be in the penultimate year of your course, or going on to a master's, and you need to be on track to achieve a predicted degree classification of 2:1 or above in any discipline.

Duration of the Programme: 6 Weeks

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.

All our workspaces are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team. You can find further information on our parent and carer policies here.

How will I develop?

We don't just keep humans at the heart of our client work, we do this internally too. You will have access to learning and development across consulting skills, ways of working, tools, and methodologies - delivered through a combination of on-the-job experience, training and team activities.
