Senior Data Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on projects from a technical and customer-facing perspective to ensure high-quality and timely delivery
• Work on projects using agreed best practices, delivering robust solutions
• Implement data governance and security best practices
• Contribute to design workshops with stakeholders and business leaders, providing specialist guidance and advising on practical technical solutions
• Apply strong data modelling, ETL, and analytics expertise to solve complex problems and develop effective delivery approaches
• Bring deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, and security
• Design, implement, and manage solutions on Microsoft Azure, with a focus on Microsoft Fabric or Databricks
• Work within cross-functional teams to anticipate issues, support independent decisions on complex problems, and deliver solutions that drive customer value
• Mentor and guide junior engineers and peers, sharing knowledge and helping set good practice within delivery teams
• Build understanding and exposure to implementation of AI agents within Azure
