Lead BI Engineer

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of complex BI platform architecture, including capacity strategy, environment topology, security model and CI/CD approach
• Own cross‑project platform governance, ensuring consistency of security, capacity and deployment standards across teams
• Influence platform and infrastructure decisions across BI, Data Engineering and Architecture teams
• Operate across multiple projects, providing senior platform oversight and acting as an escalation point for complex capacity, security or reliability issues
• Define reusable platform engineering patterns (infrastructure‑as‑code, deployment pipelines, monitoring frameworks)
• Identify and resolve cross‑workstream platform risks, dependencies and cost inefficiencies
• Shape delivery approaches in partnership with BI Developers, BI Analysts, Data Engineers and Architects
• Support stakeholder alignment across business and technical teams on platform capability, capacity and security decisions
• Mentor and guide BI Engineers across teams, improving platform engineering quality and capability
