Requirements

What we're looking for

The ideal candidate will be an experienced Assistant Accountant who is looking to take the next step in their career.

Previous Assistant Accountant experience is preferred, and a working knowledge of the Kerridge/Keyloop accounting system would be highly advantageous, although not essential. Previous motor trade experience would also be beneficial.

You will be confident communicating with both financial and non-financial colleagues and have the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

  • Previous Assistant Accountant experience (preferred)
  • Kerridge/Keyloop experience (preferred)

This is a full-time, permanent role where we are offering a basic salary of up to £30,000 depending on experience, plus an excellent range of company benefits.

Assistant Accountant - Vertu Hyundai Dunfermline

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join our team at Vertu Hyundai Dunfermline.

What you'll do

Working closely with the Dealership Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operation of the business through the production of accurate financial information, reports, and analysis to aid business decision-making. This is an excellent opportunity for an Assistant Accountant looking to further develop their career within a successful and growing organisation.

Alongside day-to-day accounting responsibilities, your duties will include:

  • Forecasts
  • Estimates
  • Assisting with the production of Management Accounts
  • Payroll
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Cash Flow
  • Reconciling Manufacturer Bonuses
  • Credit Control

We're looking for someone with:

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A proactive and professional approach to their work
