The role
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Data Analyst to support a significant supplier transition programme. With a large volume of data coming through as the business moves into the new year, this individual will play a key hands-on role in supporting the transition of work to three key suppliers, the majority of which are large-scale providers.
The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers to gather, review, validate and consolidate data, ensuring its accuracy and completeness before it is fed into developing automation processes.
This is a very hands-on, operational data role. The immediate requirement is for someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day data gathering and validation activities, work independently and help manage the significant manual workload currently involved.
A new module is being developed to support and automate these processes, but it is not expected to be ready until July 2027. In the meantime, the successful candidate will provide essential support to keep the transition moving and ensure data is accurate and fit for purpose.
What you'll do
- Liaise directly with three key suppliers to obtain and gather relevant data.
- Build effective working relationships with suppliers and follow up on outstanding information.
- Review, cleanse and validate incoming data, identifying inaccuracies, inconsistencies and missing information.
- Ensure supplier data is accurate, complete and suitable for use within internal systems and processes.
- Consolidate and structure large volumes of data from multiple suppliers.
- Support the transition of work and data from suppliers into the business.
- Work with existing and developing automation processes to ensure data is correctly prepared and usable.
- Undertake manual data processing and validation activities while the new module is being developed.
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies, working directly with suppliers where necessary.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail throughout the process.
