We are recruiting for a Data Analyst to join a major nuclear new build organisation, supporting one of the UKs largest and most complex engineering and infrastructure programmes.

This role will play an important part in improving how engineering data is managed, analysed and reported, helping to provide accurate, reliable information to support project delivery and senior-level decision-making.

Working closely with engineering, project delivery and data governance teams, you will develop and maintain data pipelines, improve reporting capabilities and help establish consistent, governed datasets across the programme.

Key Responsibilities -

  • Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines within Databricks to support engineering reporting and analytics.
  • Extract, transform and integrate data from multiple systems using SQL and Python.
  • Design and maintain curated datasets, ensuring stakeholders have access to accurate and consistent information.
  • Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions to monitor engineering and project delivery performance.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate these into effective data solutions.
  • Support senior leadership reporting through clear analysis, visualisations and actionable insights.
  • Apply data governance principles, ensuring data quality, consistency, traceability and compliance with organisational standards.
  • Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve the efficiency and reliability of existing data solutions.
  • Maintain documentation covering data pipelines, business rules, reporting methodologies and data models.

Essential Experience -

  • Strong Excel skills, alongside proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation and analysis.
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using data visualisation tools, ideally Power BI.
  • Good understanding of data integration, reconciliation and data quality management.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles, including data consistency, traceability and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities.

Desirable Experience -

  • Experience working with Databricks and large datasets.
  • Advanced Power BI skills, including DAX, Power Query and data modelling.
  • Experience automating data processes using Python, VBA or Power Automate.
  • Previous experience within engineering, construction, major infrastructure or complex project delivery environments.
  • Familiarity with data governance and information management frameworks within regulated industries.

The Opportunity -

This is an opportunity to contribute to a nationally significant nuclear infrastructure programme, working with complex engineering data in a highly regulated environment.
The successful candidate will help modernise data management and reporting practices, improving the quality and accessibility of information used to support engineering delivery and key programme decisions.
