The role

What you'll be doing

Provide Financial Crime operations expertise to migration activities, supporting wider Nationwide teams to deliver safe and effective integration across all workstreams, acting as SME for Financial Crime related queries.

Contribute to the design, review, and documentation of Financial Crime processes and procedures for migrated products and new Nationwide Business Banking offerings, ensuring Financial Crime considerations are embedded within plans, requirements, and delivery artefacts.

Support programme and BAU teams, including Change, Product, Technology, Workforce Planning, and Financial Crime Strategy, in operational readiness activities by identifying Financial Crime risks, gaps, and dependencies linked to migration timelines and change delivery.

About you

As a minimum, you'll have:

  • Proven experience in Financial Crime Operations

  • Ability to apply Financial Crime expertise to change, migration, and business readiness activity

  • Experience contributing to the design, refinement, or implementation of fraud processes, operating models, or decision frameworks

  • Confidence in providing clear, balanced advice to senior stakeholders, where risk, customer impact, and delivery timelines must be carefully considered

  • The ability to operate effectively in complex and ambiguous environments, applying sound judgement and prioritisation to deliver safe outcomes

  • A collaborative and adaptable approach, with experience working across multi-disciplinary teams during periods of change

  • A consistent focus on customer protection, operational resilience, and sustainable fraud outcomes

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers' shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think - we're honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don't settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
