The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, detail-oriented, and ambitious HR Intern to join our Human Resources team at the Louis Vuitton UK, Ireland, and South Africa head office in London for a 12-month placement.

Reporting directly to the HR team, you will play a vital supporting role across the full employee lifecycle, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in a fast-paced, prestigious luxury retail environment. This role is ideal for a proactive student seeking a year-long industrial placement or a graduate looking to build a strong foundation in HR within a world-leading luxury Maison.

What you'll do

  • Talent Acquisition Support: Assist the Talent Acquisition Manager with end-to-end recruitment processes, including screening CVs, scheduling interviews, coordinating assessment centres, and maintaining the ATS candidate pipelines.
  • Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle: Support the smooth onboarding of new head office and retail hires, preparing employment contracts, managing background checks, and coordinating induction schedules.
  • HR Administration & HRIS: Maintain accurate HR records, employee files, and organisational charts within our HR systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with local regulations.
  • Employee Relations & Support: Act as a first point of contact for routine HR queries from employees and managers, offering guidance and signposting under the supervision of the HR team.
  • HR Projects & Initiatives: Collaborate on regional and Maison-wide HR projects, including employee engagement initiatives, diversity and inclusion programs, wellbeing activities, and talent development workshops.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Assist in gathering, organizing, and analysing HR metrics (such as headcount reports, turnover data, and recruitment analytics) to support strategic HR decision-making.

Requirements

Currently studying toward a degree (ideally seeking a 12-month placement year) or recently graduated with a qualification in Human Resources, Business Management, Psychology, or a related discipline.

Previous internship or professional experience in an administrative, HR, or fast-paced corporate/retail environment is a strong advantage.

Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic setting.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a professional, confidential, and service-oriented approach.

Tech-savvy, with a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and an affinity for digital HR tools/systems.

Deeply passionate about the luxury retail sector and aligned with Louis Vuitton’s core values of excellence, craftsmanship, and innovation.
