Data & Software Engineer

This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone who enjoys working across both software and data.

You'll be responsible for developing backend solutions, connecting different systems and helping to improve the movement and availability of data across the wider technology estate.

You'll work alongside engineers and other technical teams to deliver new functionality, improve existing platforms and support a range of ongoing development initiatives.

The role will give you exposure to a variety of technical challenges and the opportunity to have a tangible impact on the systems being developed.

• Develop and maintain backend applications and services
• Work with data processing and data management solutions
• Build and maintain APIs and system integrations
• Connect internal systems and external platforms
• Improve the reliability, accessibility and quality of data
• Contribute to the development of existing applications and platforms
• Work closely with engineering and data-focused teams

Data & Software Engineer

£550-£590 per day | Outside IR35 | Fully Remote | 6-Month Contract

A well-established organisation is looking for an experienced Data & Software Engineer to join its technology team on an initial six-month contract.

The business is currently investing in its technology and data capabilities, with a number of projects underway to improve how information is collected, processed and shared across its systems.

You'll join a collaborative engineering environment and work across a combination of backend development, data processing and systems integration, helping to build reliable and scalable solutions.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who can operate independently, take ownership of their work and work effectively with wider technical teams.

You'll be comfortable dealing with complex requirements, working across different systems and finding practical solutions to technical challenges.

Experience working within a high-volume, data-heavy or technically complex environment would be beneficial, but candidates from a range of backgrounds will be considered.
