We are recruiting a Compliance Delivery Manager to support the delivery of statutory requirements across a varied portfolio of stations, offices, train crews, commercial properties and residential accommodation.

The role will support a broad range of statutory disciplines including asbestos management, fire safety, water hygiene, electrical safety and landlord and tenant obligations.

Coverage Area

This role supports the GTR estate across stations, offices, train crews, commercial properties and residential accommodation. The successful candidate will be assigned a primary geographical area but may be required to support activities and projects across the wider GTR estate in line with business needs. Regular travel is required to support stakeholders, undertake assurance activities and maintain statutory obligations.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Compliance Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of statutory compliance across our estate. You will ensure that all inspection, testing, certification and remedial activities are effectively planned, managed and recorded, helping to create safe, compliant and operationally efficient environments for colleagues, customers and tenants.

Working across a varied portfolio, you'll act as the key link between Facilities Management teams, operational stakeholders, contractors and tenants, ensuring compliance obligations are understood, delivered and continuously improved.#

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead the delivery of statutory compliance programmes across the estate, ensuring all inspections, testing, certification and remedial actions are completed within required timescales.
  • Monitor compliance performance, identify risks and implement practical solutions to maintain full regulatory compliance.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for operational compliance delivery, building strong relationships with Facilities Managers, station teams and contractors.
  • Support and challenge commercial and residential tenants to meet their statutory obligations, providing clear guidance and expert advice.
  • Ensure accurate compliance records, certification and documentation are maintained and readily available for audit and assurance purposes.
  • Drive a proactive, risk-based approach to compliance management, focusing on prioritisation, continuous improvement and operational practicality.
  • Investigate compliance-related issues and coordinate corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to compliance audits, reporting, governance processes and performance reviews.
  • Work collaboratively with stakeholders to embed a positive compliance culture across the estate.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong knowledge of compliance disciplines such as fire safety, electrical, water hygiene, gas, asbestos or building safety.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple compliance workstreams and contractors simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to influence, challenge and support colleagues and tenants.
  • Strong analytical and organisational abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience interpreting legislation and translating complex requirements into practical operational actions.
  • Ability to assess risk, prioritise workloads and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in compliance management systems and reporting tools

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Facilities team and play a key role in maintaining safe, efficient and well-managed properties across one of the UK's largest rail networks.
