The role

At GAIL's, we believe that happy, engaged teams do amazing things. As we continue our exciting growth journey, we're looking for a People Partner to help shape our culture, champion a people-first approach and be the engine behind our scale.

This is a varied, regional role where you'll partner closely with Operations Managers, Bakery Managers and the wider People Team - including Talent and L&D - to deliver a world-class people experience across your region. Reporting to our Head of People, you'll be caring every step of the way.

What you'll do

  • Partnering with Operations Managers, Bakery Managers and support teams to align business goals and build a people roadmap linked to our wider strategy.
  • Driving succession and talent mapping, working with our Recruitment and L&D teams to grow and develop our people internally.
  • Shaping the people experience and value proposition in your region to attract and retain the best talent in our sector.
  • Coaching operators and their management teams so they feel comfortable and confident in their leadership style.
  • Overseeing employee relations in your region, ensuring adherence to company policy.
  • Running experience workshops that drive engagement and help inform our future benefits offer.
  • Championing wellbeing and inclusion initiatives to build a culture of care at every level.
  • Informing, iterating and challenging our people strategy so we set the trends rather than follow them.

ARE YOU THE MISSING INGREDIENT

  • Experience in a People Partnering role within a growing business.
  • Experience building and managing a team, so you can draw on practical experience when coaching managers and leaders.
  • Strong coaching and facilitation skills, with a love of running practical, experiential workshops that lead to real behaviour change.
  • Confidence working with a diverse range of stakeholders, from Operators to leadership teams.
  • A good level of ER experience and confidence coaching managers through a variety of cases.
  • Curiosity, self-awareness and adaptability - you're happy zooming out to see the big picture and zooming in to get things done.
