Requirements

What we're looking for

A degree in computer science, software development or equivalent professional experience.
Strong experience developing and maintaining production back-end applications using Python, Node.js or C#/ASP.NET Core.
Deep expertise in containerisation and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes, AKS or Azure Container Apps.
Hands-on experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, Pulumi or similar frameworks.
Experience building and scaling RESTful APIs, including authentication and authorisation using Entra ID and RBAC or ABAC models.
Practical knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, alongside CI/CD tooling such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
Excellent communication skills, sound security awareness and the ability to collaborate effectively while handling sensitive information.

The role

As a Full-stack Developer at Foster + Partners, you will help build, deploy and scale the shared technology platform that underpins our AI applications, digital services and emerging products. Working across back-end engineering, cloud infrastructure and DevOps, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable, secure and supportable solutions that enable innovation to move efficiently from prototype to production.

What you'll do

Design and deliver the core services, APIs and infrastructure that support AI applications and agents at scale.
Build reusable deployment patterns and cloud platforms that improve consistency, security and operational efficiency.
Work with modern container, orchestration and Infrastructure as Code technologies in a production environment.
Shape platform capabilities for authentication, observability, automation and application lifecycle management.
Influence technology decisions by evaluating tools and recommending effective build, buy or adopt approaches.
