What we're looking for

A degree in Computer Science, Computational Design or equivalent professional experience.
Experience integrating with complex desktop or enterprise software through APIs or plugin SDKs.
Strong programming capability in TypeScript/Node.js or C#/.NET, with the confidence to work across both environments.
Production experience building LLM agents that perform real actions through tool calling, orchestration and error recovery.
Experience developing MCP servers or equivalent agent tool integrations and familiarity with the Model Context Protocol.
Knowledge of automated evaluation, observability and monitoring practices for AI systems, including trace and metric analysis.
An understanding of OAuth 2.0/OIDC, AI security considerations and the importance of handling confidential information responsibly.

The role

As a Senior AI Agent Developer at Foster + Partners, you will help shape the next generation of AI-enabled tools for the built environment. Working within the Applied Research + Development team and reporting to the Head of Applied Research and Development, you will develop production-grade AI agents and integrations that connect with design and business systems, including Revit and Rhino/Grasshopper. This is a hands-on opportunity to influence our AI platform strategy, collaborate with developers and domain experts, and deliver innovative solutions that support digital transformation across the practice.

What you'll do

Build AI agents and tool integrations that operate within complex design and business applications.
Develop production workflows using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio and emerging agent technologies.
Work alongside experts in architecture, engineering and digital innovation to solve challenging real-world problems.
Define standards, processes and evaluation frameworks for enterprise AI solutions.
Contribute to the growth of a shared AI platform that supports teams across the practice.
