As one of the largest teams in the country, we pride ourselves on offering our clients real strength and expertise in resolving disputes quickly and effectively. We act for a wide range of corporates, investors and asset management companies, retailers, residential landlords and individuals and boast particular expertise in the social housing, retail and leisure, development, charities, government and banking sectors. Blake Morgan is ranked tier 1 for Property Litigation and Social Housing in Wales (Legal 500) and Chambers & Partners.
As part of the broader practice we have a new opportunity for a Paralegal to work within our Housing Team in Cardiff. The Team acts for social landlords in Wales and England. A significant part of that work is advising on and contesting claims brought by tenants for compensation arising out of alleged breaches of covenant by their landlords. The candidate will be expected to work as part of a team and have a good attention to detail. The role involves managing their own case load and working with more senior team members on larger disputes.
Experience of Social Housing work is desirable but not essential. The ability to work through the medium of Welsh is desirable but not essential.
The interview process will start as soon as suitable candidates have been identified.
The successful candidate will be well supported at Partner and Solicitor level and will be joining a collegiate environment.
