Billing Officer - G6
We are hiring two Billing officers to work in our Billing team.
As a Billing Officer, you will support the delivery of a consistent and compliant revenue process for departmentally led income-generating activity. You will review and triage revenue cases, maintain accurate records and audit trails, coordinate due diligence checks and customer setup, and support the preparation of accurate and timely sales invoices. You will also provide day-to-day guidance to academics, departments and faculty colleagues, working closely with teams including Credit Control, Compliance and Assurance, Legal and Faculty Finance. Through accurate case management and effective customer support, you will help improve consistency, reduce errors and strengthen financial controls across UCL.
You will have experience working in a service delivery, administrative, finance or customer-focused environment, with the ability to handle financial, billing, customer or operational information accurately. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise your workload effectively while responding to changing demands. You will be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook and Teams, and able to maintain accurate records, trackers and audit trails. With effective written and verbal communication skills, you will be confident providing clear guidance to users and working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Experience within higher education or a complex organisation, and knowledge of billing, accounts receivable or finance systems such as Oracle Financials or MyFinance, would be advantageous.
