UCL's Finance Services function supports the effective financial management of the university, providing robust, compliant and customer-focused services across UCL. The Billing team plays an important role in supporting departmentally led income-generating activity, working closely with Faculty Finance and colleagues across Credit Control, Legal, Compliance and Assurance, ISD, Audit and the wider Finance community. The team is focused on delivering consistent service standards, strong financial controls and effective ways of working across faculties.
As a Billing Manager, you will lead the delivery of a consistent, compliant and user-focused revenue service, overseeing activity from initial triage through to billing and income recognition. You will manage and develop the Billing team, setting priorities, monitoring performance and ensuring accurate and timely service delivery. You will provide advice and escalation support on complex, high-value or higher-risk cases, while maintaining effective financial controls, audit trails and assurance requirements. A key part of the role will be building strong relationships across UCL, using management information to improve performance, and leading improvements to processes, systems, SOPs and service standards.

You will also be able to demonstrate experience of improving processes, strengthening controls and standardising ways of working, alongside a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion.
