The role
About us
UCL is one of the world's leading universities, providing an exceptional experience for students from across the globe. As part of UCL Estates, the award-winning Accommodation team manages more than 26 halls of residence, housing over 6,500 students across London.
Our vision is to become the leading accommodation provider within the Higher Education sector by delivering an outstanding student experience. We believe our accommodation is more than just a place to live. It is where students build friendships, develop independence and become part of a thriving community.
We're looking for a customer-focused Accommodation Advisor to help us create a welcoming, safe and supportive environment for our residents.
About the role
As an Accommodation Advisor, you will be at the heart of the student experience, providing both front-of-house and administrative support across our accommodation sites. You will act as the first point of contact for students, visitors, contractors and stakeholders, delivering an exceptional level of customer service while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of our residences.
This is a varied and rewarding role where no two days are the same. From welcoming new arrivals and supporting residents throughout their stay, to handling administrative processes and helping deliver community events, you will play a key role in ensuring students feel at home during their time at UCL.
Please note: Core coverage is required between 8:00am and 7:00pm Monday to Friday, and 9:00am to 5:00pm on Saturdays, with shifts determined by the line manager. During holiday and summer periods, work will be undertaken on a rota basis across five days out of seven, which may include weekends.
Occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday working will be required to support operational needs, with time off in lieu provided in accordance with UCL procedures. Due to peak operational activity, annual leave may be restricted during key accommodation periods.
Please note we are likely to have two of these vacancies, one based in Bloomsbury and the other in King's Cross.
About you
We're looking for someone who is passionate about customer service, enjoys working with people and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
