Our goal is to bring fusion electricity to the grid by developing the power stations of tomorrow and the skilled workforce to deliver them.
About the Job
You'll help coordinate and administer grants and loan agreements that support UKAEA's strategic objectives and programme delivery. Working with commercial colleagues and stakeholders, you'll help manage applications, funding agreements, reporting and compliance throughout the grant lifecycle. What You'll Be Doing
- Maintain grant management databases, records and reporting systems.
- Support grant awards from application and assessment through to closure.
- Coordinate evaluation processes and assist with due diligence checks.
- Help ensure grant activity delivers value for money and meets relevant compliance requirements.
- Support the preparation and negotiation of grant funding agreements under the direction of senior commercial colleagues.
- Provide procedural guidance on grant processes, funding agreements and governance requirements.
- Analyse and validate financial and performance data supplied by grant recipients and stakeholders.
- Help resolve issues relating to grant delivery, performance or funding.
- Contribute to the development of grant policies, procedures, templates and guidance.
- Support risk management and ensure compliance with subsidy control, public sector governance and organisational requirements.
What You'll Bring
- GCSEs or equivalent in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
- A background in administration, commercial activity, project support, grants or a similar business environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- The ability to handle and analyse numerical data accurately and produce clear reports.
- A track record of maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- The ability to organise and prioritise your workload while working within established processes and procedures.
UKAEA is an onsite organisation, and this role requires regular onsite presence (usually 3 days per week) in line with business needs. We actively support flexible working arrangements where this is compatible with the role.
