Royal Museums Greenwich is a collection of diverse historical sites. The sites are the National Maritime Museum, Cutty Sark, the Royal Observatory, and the Queen's House. The Role

This role provides opportunities to work shifts at various RMG events and in our galleries in the National Maritime Museum, Queen's House, Cutty Sark and Royal Observatory. Event Hosts assist with the set-up and take-down of events, such as weddings, gigs, corporate parties, cultural and/or religious festivals.

Event Hosts actively engage with visitors in our galleries, providing excellent customer service to all visitors and ensuring standards of health and safety are met. To support events hosted by five departments across RMG: Events, Engagement, Development, Membership, and Commerce and Visitor Experience.

The successful candidates will have strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional and polite attitude; an enthusiastic, proactive and helpful approach towards guests and colleagues; the ability to remain focused, especially during load-ins, load-outs and evacuations; the ability to work independently and as part of a team; the ability to diplomatically handle problems and remain calm under pressure and maintain flexible ability for work. For any Events Hosts over the age of 25, a clean driving license with D1/D1E classification to allow you to drive our 17-seater minibus and/or our people carrier.

The hours of work will range from 07.00am-02.00am, with occasional events outside of these times. Shifts will be variable and subject to operational requirements.

Salary: £14.80 per hour
