The role

We are recruiting a Business Development Manager to cover London and the South East of England, building strong relationships with GPs, referrers and international partners to help more people access Priory's private mental health and addictions services.

Working closely with our private hospital leaders and Service Development team, you'll develop referral networks, raise awareness of Priory's services and create strategic partnerships with organisations such as family offices, embassies and corporate partners. Your work will help grow our private healthcare services and strengthen Priory's position as a provider of choice in the UK and internationally.

What you'll do

You'll play a key role in developing new referral opportunities and growing Priory's presence in the private healthcare market. This will include:

  • Building relationships with private GPs, family offices, embassies and corporate partners to increase referrals.
  • Promoting Priory's services through engagement events, networking and targeted partnership activity.
  • Managing key referral relationships and working with our sites and central teams to deliver a seamless experience.
  • Using market insights and referral data to identify opportunities for growth and develop new referral routes.

You'll work collaboratively with clinical, operational and marketing teams to turn opportunities into meaningful partnerships and support the continued growth of our services.

How you'll work

This is a hybrid role with some remote working and regular travel to Priory sites across the region. Ideally, you'll be based within easy reach of the M25 to make travelling between sites and meeting referral partners as straightforward as possible. A driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role. We offer a Car Allowance of £4,200.

Please note : Internally this role is known as a Private Service Development Manager.

Skills & Expertise

You'll be a confident relationship builder with a commercial mindset and a passion for developing new opportunities. You'll bring:

  • Experience in account management, business development or sales, ideally within healthcare, with a track record of developing relationships and generating new business.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to engage GPs, corporate clients and senior stakeholders.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to use market insights to identify and develop growth opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage your workload independently while working collaboratively with colleagues across clinical, operational and marketing teams.

You'll be proactive, adaptable and motivated to succeed, with the confidence to present to a range of audiences and quickly develop your understanding of the private mental health market.

You'll also need a full, current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
