The role

What you'll be doing

Responsible for creating, maintaining and presenting demand forecasts and resource plans for Business Banking, providing clear insight to support decision-making while identifying key risks and opportunities. Work closely with senior leaders and stakeholders across Business Banking and the wider organisation, including Strategy, Risk, Marketing, Finance, Commercial and data teams, to ensure plans are aligned with business priorities and objectives.

Support and contribute to resource forums by delivering high-quality, thought-provoking analysis that helps ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time. Take ownership of end-to-end action plans, ensuring milestones are achieved and stakeholders remain informed, while applying your understanding of financial services products, distribution channels, operational processes, systems and the broader data landscape to enhance planning and recommendations.

About you

The minimum requirements for this role are:

  • Experience developing demand forecasts using historical trends, seasonality and changes in customer behaviour and business activity
  • Strong capacity modelling skills, translating demand into workload and FTE requirements using handling times, productivity, shrinkage and service levels
  • Experience maintaining short-, medium- and long-term resource plans, meeting deadlines and ensuring accurate models and documented assumptions
  • Ability to explain forecasting methods, assumptions and recommendations on capacity, cost and service to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience in scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis, challenging assumptions with stakeholders to assess capacity gaps, risks and financial impacts
  • Advanced Excel modelling skills and experience using Power BI and workforce planning tools to combine data, automate analysis and generate insight
  • Understanding of financial services demand drivers and experience sourcing, reconciling and validating data for forecasting and planning models
  • Ability to independently assess forecast accuracy, investigate variances and refine models, making evidence-based recommendations and deputising for the Channel Performance Partner

Our customer first behaviours put customers and members at the heart of how we work together. They are the set of behaviours that every colleague needs to display, in every role:

  • Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers' shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind

  • Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think - we're honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand

  • Push for better - We don't settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development

  • Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes

You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
