The role

We're recruiting Senior Change Managers within Business Readiness & Service Delivery, both with the same role specification. In either position, you'll lead the readiness and change activity that helps Business Banking implement change safely and effectively. Within the Business Readiness, Change Management and User Testing pillar, you'll set direction for an allocated team and portfolio, ensuring our customers, colleagues and services are prepared for implementation.

We support small and medium businesses and larger enterprises to build livelihoods, create jobs and power local economies. We are ambitious, we want to grow and scale our business, and we are investing in our Business Banking teams to get ready for growth and ready to deliver more 'simply brilliant experiences'.

What you'll do

You'll bring together impact assessment, stakeholder priorities, knowledge, training and communications readiness, alongside user testing, acceptance and risk mitigation. Working with senior business, programme and control stakeholders, you'll challenge readiness evidence, resolve dependencies and provide clear recommendations to those accountable for acceptance and go-live decisions.

This is an opportunity to combine team leadership with practical delivery assurance. You'll navigate competing priorities, make risks and capacity constraints visible, and use customer and service insight to help embed change that protects service continuity and improves customer and colleague experience.

You'll lead readiness and change management across your allocated portfolio, setting priorities, aligning team capacity and overseeing integrated plans with clear milestones, owners and acceptance criteria. You'll challenge customer, colleague, process and service impacts, resolve cross-initiative dependencies and secure stakeholder commitment to the knowledge, training and communications needed for successful implementation. Your remit will include Business Readiness Gateway submissions, evidence quality, stakeholder reviews and follow-up actions, alongside coordination of workforce and recruitment readiness dependencies for the NBS launch. Recruitment decisions remain with authorised recruitment and business owners. You'll also coach your allocated team and create clarity on responsibilities and delivery expectations.

You'll oversee business user acceptance testing and the quality of readiness evidence, ensuring defects, residual risks and service impacts are understood before authorised owners make acceptance and go-live decisions. You'll provide senior stakeholders with a consolidated view of readiness, capacity, risks and required decisions, escalating material gaps early. Following implementation, you'll oversee adoption and handover, use customer feedback and service indicators to identify emerging issues, and simplify or automate repetitive reporting to improve insight and control.

Additionally, you will also support the design and implementation of processes to ensure compliance with FCA and other relevant regulatory or legislative requirements. You'll ensure these processes are clear, accessible, operationally effective, and aligned with the Society's strategy and risk appetite.

How you'll work

At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. More rewarding relationships are supported through our hybrid approach, bringing colleagues together across our UK wide estate, whilst also supporting generous access to home working. We value our time in the office to solve problems, to learn, and to feel connected.

For this job you'll be located at our nearest regional office or hub. There will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration and in some locations you'll be expected to spend at least two days a week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, in the office. If your application is successful, your hiring manager will provide further details on how this works.

We are happy to consider flexible working approaches to help you perform at your best.
