Summary

***INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY***

We're looking for a Commercial Team Leader to join us. You'll be supervising the day-to-day operations of a property commercial team within food & beverage and retail.
As we are in a rural area, please think about how you'd be able to get here for work, before applying for the job.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract Duration: Permanent
Working Pattern: You'll work 1600 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year. You will work 5 days per week, 8am-4pm or 9:30am-6:30pm, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.

We want to help you look after the things that matter to you, such as saving for your future, getting a discount on your weekly shop, or encouraging you to find a work-life balance. We're proud of the role the Welsh language plays in the places and communities we care for across Wales. Whether you're a fluent Welsh speaker, a learner, or completely new to the language, we'll support you to develop the skills and confidence needed for your role and to engage with Welsh language and culture as part of working at the National Trust.
What you'll be doing
As a Team Leader, you'll support and motivate your team to deliver great service in our busy café and shop, so you'll be adaptable and ready to get involved wherever needed.
With a focus on front-of-house, you'll create a warm welcome for every visitor and lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service. Using your eye for detail, you'll ensure displays and signage are accurate and up to date, while occasionally supporting back-of-house activities.
You'll help monitor stock levels, promote products and contribute to income targets that support the National Trust's conservation work. You'll also play an important role in welcoming, training and developing colleagues, helping to build a confident team.
We'll provide an induction, along with training in food safety and allergens. There are also opportunities to take part in further learning and development if you'd like to grow your skills.
You can view the full role profile for this role in the document attached. You don't need to have all of the knowledge, skills and experience listed in the role profile; this is just to provide a full picture of what's possible in this role.

  • a team player, but also happy to work on your own initiative
  • well-organised and adaptable
