What we're looking for
- Python as your main language.
- Hands-on AWS experience.
- Infrastructure as code with CloudFormation, Terraform or CDK (any is fine).
- An infrastructure-minded background: comfortable beyond the application layer.
- Enough React or TypeScript to cover front-end work.
Nice to have
- Experience with data pipelines, geospatial or sensor data.
- Startup or scale-up experience.
The role
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 · Level: 2-3 years' experience minimum · Clearance: SC Clearable
A backend-leaning engineer who builds product features in Python, owns the AWS infrastructure behind them, and covers front-end work when needed.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs, mainly in Python.
- Define and manage the AWS infrastructure your services run on, as code.
- Pick up React front-end work as cover when the team needs it.
- Work across the product, from data handling through to the interfaces operators use.
