What we're looking for
- Strong hands-on AWS experience.
- Real Kubernetes experience, ideally having built or shaped a cluster set-up (EKS or similar), not just deployed to one.
- CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions.
- Infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation or CDK).
- Experience migrating workloads or building platforms from the ground up.
Nice to have
- Startup or scale-up experience.
- Experience supporting data, AI or sensor-data platforms.
The role
Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 (some flexibility for the right person) · Level: Mid to senior · Clearance: Must be eligible for SC
What you'll do
You will build and evolve the cloud platform that the engineering team ships on, taking the lead on Kubernetes as the company scales.
- Design, build and migrate infrastructure set-ups on AWS, enabling the core build and deployment pipelines.
- Build and shape the company's Kubernetes set-up, bringing expertise the current team doesn't yet have.
- Own and improve CI/CD in GitHub Actions, the team's main delivery tool.
- Run and improve test infrastructure (this role is not field-deployed).
- Work closely with software and platform engineers to make deployments reliable, repeatable and fast.
