Company Description
INTO's mission: Transforming international student academic and career success through exceptional university partnerships.
Position
Student Content Creator | Zero Hours
City St. George's University of London International Study Centre
Do you have a passion for storytelling, social media and video content? Are you a current student eager to share your experiences while studying abroad in the UK? Does your current student visa allow you to work in the UK during term time? If so, you could be the person we're looking for!
You'll get paid to show us what daily life looks like as an international student in the UK - and the role is flexible to fit around your studies and any other personal commitments.
If selected, your first task will be a 'Day in the Life' project. Afterwards, the team may invite you to participate in additional projects on a flexible, ad hoc basis. Each project will consist of no more than 8 hours of work, and you'll be responsible for managing your own time.
The ideal candidate will be active on social media and in touch with current online trends and cultures. Experience in creating videos or vlogs is a huge advantage, but you don't need to have lots of followers or professional experience to apply. This opportunity is open to university students from all backgrounds, programmes and levels of study.
Requirements
INTO is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults, and we expect all colleagues, partners and volunteers to share this commitment.
Successful candidates will be expected to uphold our safeguarding culture and, where relevant to the role, fulfil safeguarding responsibilities in line with organisational policies and procedures.
As part of our safer recruitment practices, all appointments are subject to appropriate pre-employment checks, which may include references, identity verification, right to work checks, qualification verification and, where applicable, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
Depending on the nature of the role, the position may be exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. Where this applies, applicants will be required to disclose any convictions and cautions that are not protected under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions Order 1975), as amended. Protected convictions and cautions do not need to be disclosed and will not be taken into account during the recruitment process.
Further information about our safeguarding approach, including our Safeguarding Policy and Rehabilitation of Offenders Policy, can be accessed via our website. For more information and to view a list of our policies, please visit: INTO Governance -SEO | INTO Study

We are an Equal Opportunities Employer. We do not discriminate against our job applicants or employees on any grounds. We select the best person for the job and all recruitment decisions will be made objectively.

How does it work?
- Successful applicants will be assigned to a brief to work on a vlog for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.
- Based on the brief provided, your responsibility will be to film and edit your video using the tools at your disposal (i.e. Smartphones, microphones, Canva, CapCut, etc).
- You must be comfortable vlogging and speaking to the camera in public, as this will be a key part of the brief!
Throughout each video project, you will work closely alongside a remote project manager from INTO's central video team. Your assigned project manager will be your main point of contact and support throughout your project; however, the role will require a high level of independent working and self-management.
