The role
The Blavatnik School of Government is looking to recruit an outstanding self-starting and enthusiastic Research Manager to manage innovative new workstreams with new WWHGE funding partners
The World What Works Hub for Global Education (WWHGE) supports the generation and use of evidence to improve education policy and practice. In this role, you will collaborate with in-country implementers to identify opportunities for data collection and analysis, develop innovative approaches to evaluating interventions, and help partners translate research findings into practical improvements. You will manage complex research projects, oversee Research Assistants and contribute to high-quality research papers and policy products.
Working with research colleagues, funding partners and their grantees, you will help shape new research and policy initiatives, support collaboration across the WWHGE consortium and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality research outputs. The role also involves international travel and donor engagement, providing opportunities to influence how evidence is generated, communicated and used to inform education policy.
What you'll do
You will hold a Master's degree in a relevant subject and have significant experience in international development, economics, political science, political economy, public policy, education or a related field. You will have experience in managing complex research projects, analysing data and building effective relationships with partners and stakeholders.
You will bring outstanding organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities and work well in a fast-paced environment. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, you will have demonstrated creativity and initiative to turn conceptual discussions into concrete activities and outcomes. You will also be passionate about international development and improving lives through effective public policy.
