The role
Applications are invited for a Product Manager at the Bennett Institute for Applied Data Science.
As a Product Manager, you will work closely with the Head of Product and the Product team, embedded within the Software Engineering group. Your role is to engage with users and stakeholders, assist in defining the product vision, and identify key outcomes that will steer us towards that vision. Working closely with software engineers, you will lead discovery efforts to identify opportunities and experiment with different ways to improve those key outcomes, and support the team in delivering solutions. You will collaborate with technical team leads to ensure work is prioritised and aligned with the product vision.
You will demonstrate experience as a product manager or a similar role, along with experience using modern product management and discovery techniques. A basic understanding of web technologies, covering the full stack, the ability to explore problems creatively and identify different approaches or potential solutions as well as proven experience of developing and testing UX options with end users are also essential.
You will be formally based in the Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.
The position is funded for three years in the first instance. It is offered full-time, although part-time, at a minimum of 0.8FTE, will be considered.
