The successful candidate will work closely with operational teams and senior leadership, providing practical, hands-on support within a business committed to developing a positive and proactive safety culture.

The Key Responsibilities of the Regional Health & Safety Advisor:
  • Provide regional Health & Safety support across multiple live construction projects.
  • Work closely with site management, project delivery teams and senior leadership to maintain high standards of Health & Safety performance.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, audits and compliance reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Promote a positive Health & Safety culture, encouraging engagement and ownership across operational teams.
  • Provide practical advice and guidance on Health & Safety legislation, procedures and best practices.
  • Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety management systems.
  • Review risk assessments, method statements and associated Health & Safety documentation.

  • Identify emerging risks, challenge unsafe practices and support the implementation of corrective actions.
  • Provide guidance and support to operational teams in maintaining compliance across multiple project locations.
The Regional Health & Safety Advisor will have:
  • Previous experience in a Health & Safety advisory role within the construction industry.
  • A practical understanding of construction operations, ideally gained through previous site-based or operational experience.
  • A NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and construction industry requirements.
  • Experience supporting multiple construction sites or working within a regional Health & Safety role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with and challenge operational teams.
  • A pragmatic, approachable and solutions-focused attitude to Health & Safety management.
  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build strong working relationships.
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the South and Home Counties.

The successful candidate will join an ambitious and expanding contractor offering genuine opportunities for professional development and career progression, including support towards further qualifications such as the NEBOSH Diploma.

The position offers flexible working arrangements, a supportive leadership team and considerable autonomy in managing regional responsibilities. A company car, business travel expenses and the necessary IT equipment will also be provided.
