The role

You'll handle Trade Effluent applications, raise charges and consent fees, and be the friendly, confident voice supporting customers through calls, letters and enquiries

What you'll do

  • Completing and managing temporary case assessments.
  • Preparation of legal documentation and monthly internal reports
  • Advising customers and retailers with queries.
  • The role requires building relationships with retailers and customers alike to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Supporting the trade effluent team members with documentation and PPE requirements.
  • Interactions with other departments include Wholesale Market Services, Asset Planning and Operational Process Scientists.

How you'll work

Working hours: 36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Base location: Crossness Sewage Treatment Works, SE2 9AQ

What you should bring to the role

  • Ability to work within a team environment is essential.
  • Ability to work to timescales and targets.
  • IT literate and fully adept in using MS Office programs
  • A high level of attention to detail, a logical and analytical mind.
  • The ability to evaluate, interpret and effectively communicate written data and information from diverse sources.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and providing excellent customer service.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and negotiating skills for liaising with external parties and across different levels of stakeholders both within and outside of the business.

Additional skills and experiences would be beneficial

  • Water Industry Experience.
  • Knowledge of Thames Water systems, e.g. TERMIS, Salesforce, SAP supply chain, is desirable.
  • Financial experience in revenue generation.
  • Regulatory Experience.
  • Ideally, have a valid UK driver's licence and access to a car for travel to work because the site is in a remote location.
