We are committed to being a truly inclusive retailer so you’ll be welcomed whoever you are and wherever you work. Around here, there’s always the chance to try something new — whether that’s as part of an evolving team or somewhere else across the business - and we take development seriously and promise to support you. We also recognise and celebrate colleagues when they go the extra mile and, where possible, offer flexible working. When you join our team, we’ll also offer you an amazing range of benefits. Here are some of them:
Starting off with colleague discount, you'll be able to save 10% on your shopping online and instore at Sainsbury's, Argos, TU and Habitat, and we regularly increase the discount to 15% at points during the year. We've also got you covered for your future with our pensions scheme and life cover. You'll also be able to share in our success as you may be eligible for a performance-related bonus of up to 10% of salary, depending on how we perform.
Your wellbeing is important to us too. You'll receive an annual holiday allowance and you can buy up to an additional week's holiday. We also offer other benefits that will help your money go further such as season ticket loans, cycle to work scheme, health cash plans, salary advance (where you can access some of your pay before pay day) as well access to a great range of discounts from hundreds of other retailers. And if you ever need it there is also an employee assistance programme.
Moments that matter are as important to us as they are to you which is why we give up to 26 weeks’ pay for maternity or adoption leave and up to 4 weeks’ pay for paternity leave.
Please see www.sainsburys.jobs for a range of our benefits (note, length of service and eligibility criteria may apply).
The role
Why join us
At Sainsbury's, our purpose is to make good food joyful, accessible and affordable for everyone, every day. As our Community Executive, you'll play an important role in bringing that purpose to life through community programmes and partnerships that help more families access good food and support our ambition that no child goes hungry.
This is a great opportunity to work on high-profile initiatives that create meaningful social impact, collaborating with charity partners, colleagues across the business and stores nationwide. You'll help shape and deliver programmes that make a genuine difference while developing your skills in partnerships, project delivery, communications and impact measurement.
What you'll do
Working within the Community and Partnerships team, you'll support the delivery of our community strategy and Plan for Better priorities, managing projects from concept through to execution and evaluation.
You'll build strong relationships with charity and community partners, ensuring programmes remain on track and deliver positive outcomes. You'll coordinate campaigns and activities across our stores and wider business, bringing together colleagues from multiple teams to deliver brilliant experiences for customers, colleagues and communities.
A key part of the role will be measuring and communicating impact. You'll use data, feedback and case studies to evaluate programme success, identify opportunities for improvement and help tell compelling stories about the difference we're making together.
You'll also support the management of community budgets, donations and operational processes, ensuring activity is well-organised, efficient and delivered to a high standard.
Who you are
You're passionate about creating positive social impact and enjoy working with a wide range of stakeholders to make things happen. You're highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and confident working in a fast-paced environment where plans can evolve quickly.
You're equally comfortable working with data and insight as you are building relationships, and you enjoy turning information into meaningful stories and recommendations. Most importantly, you're a collaborative team player who combines attention to detail with a strategic mindset and a desire to continuously improve.

Demonstrable experience working within the charity, community or social impact sector, or in a role where community partnerships formed a significant part of your responsibilities.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present insights, impact and recommendations clearly to different audiences.
