Contract Type: Permanent

Quilter is reshaping how colleagues build the skills they need to perform, grow and deliver for customers. As Digital Learning Experience Lead, you will help create that shift by reinventing the learning experience, making development easier to access, more relevant to people's work and more effective at building capability. You will be the business lead for learning experience, adoption, digital content and learning technology requirements, working in partnership with HR Information & Systems, which retains technical ownership of the underlying platforms.

You will turn business priorities and user needs into simple, engaging learning journeys, using Workday Learning powered by Sana and emerging technologies as enablers. You will lead the learning experience, content and adoption activity required to move away from legacy learning technology. Working alongside HR Information & Systems and the wider People team, you will also help develop Workday Skills Cloud through initial pilots and create the insight, content and experiences needed to accelerate upskilling across high-priority areas aligned to Quilter's strategic delivery.

This is a hands-on opportunity to create, experiment and make a visible organisational impact. You will combine technology, user experience, learning design, e-learning authoring and data to re-engineer how learning is created, discovered and used.

Your key areas of focus will include:

Reinvent the learning experience

  • Put colleagues and their journeys at the centre, creating simple, inclusive and engaging experiences that make priority skills, role-based, mandatory, onboarding and culture-aligned learning easier to access and apply.
  • Shape how Workday Learning powered by Sana and emerging technologies are used to make learning easier to find, access and apply, translating colleague insight into experience and content improvements.
  • Create high-quality e-learning using Articulate, Elucidat and Sana, and enable subject matter experts to create effective content through practical guidance, templates and support.

Build skills for the future

  • Lead the learning experience and business implementation of Workday Skills Cloud pilots, partnering with HR Information & Systems on technology configuration and delivery.
  • Work with pilot areas Talent, People and HR Information & Systems to connect priority skills to relevant learning, test the colleague experience and use evidence to shape recommendations for wider rollout.
  • Explore AI-enabled learning approaches that can improve personalisation, content creation and capability building.

Shape and embed the digital learning experience

  • Act as the Learning subject matter expert for Workday Learning powered by Sana and related learning technologies, translating business and colleague needs into clear requirements and recommendations.
  • Lead the evolution of the colleague learning experience across Workday Learning powered by Sana, including the content, user journeys, communications and adoption required to move successfully away from legacy learning technology.
  • Partner with HR Information & Systems to define learning requirements and ensure technical changes deliver the intended learning and colleague experience.
  • Simplify mandatory and role-based learning, strengthening SME ownership while improving relevance, experience and efficiency.
  • Work with HR Information & Systems who will retain accountability for system governance, configuration, release management, technical testing, technical controls and the overall HR technology roadmap.

Use insight to create impact

  • Build a clear view of participation, engagement, learner experience, skills and business impact through learning data and feedback.
  • Use insight to challenge existing approaches, prioritise investment and identify opportunities for reinvention.
  • Drive business adoption of learning technologies by helping colleagues, managers and content owners understand and use the learning ecosystem effectively.

Enable cultural and organisational change

  • Create the digital learning experiences that support meaningful shifts in culture, leadership, ways of working and organisational capability.
  • Lead the digital learning experience for priority culture, leadership and capability programmes, from user journey and content design through to adoption, evaluation and improvement.
  • Partner across Culture and Learning, Talent, People, the business and Communications to turn strategic priorities into experiences that change how people work.

About You

You are a digital learning experience specialist with strong expertise in learning platforms, user experience and user journey design. You understand how people interact with technology and can turn business and colleague needs into clear requirements and simple, intuitive and engaging learning experiences. You combine strategic thinking with hands-on capability, using technology, content and insight to reimagine how learning is created, discovered and used across Quilter.

You will use your expertise and credibility to challenge how learning works today, bring people with you and turn ideas into experiences that colleagues value and use. You are curious, practical and comfortable experimenting, learning quickly and making bold improvements where they will have the greatest impact.

You will be energised by the opportunity to build something new: developing the technology and experience that help colleagues understand their skills, access relevant development and build the capability Quilter needs for the future.

Skills and experience

  • Strong stakeholder and supplier leadership, with the ability to connect business priorities and user needs with technical possibilities, and work effectively in partnership with technology specialists.
  • Experience of learning management systems, AI-enabled learning or skills technologies. Workday Learning or Workday Skills Cloud experience is desirable rather than essential.
  • Understanding of accessible digital design, content quality and the requirements of learning in a regulated environment.
