We're looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative Asset Transformation Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of our Reliability & Performance Transformation Portfolio.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to broaden their experience in transformation delivery and build a successful career in project, programme or portfolio management. Working alongside senior leaders and specialist teams, you'll gain valuable exposure to portfolio governance, stakeholder management, planning, risk management, benefits tracking and performance reporting, while contributing to initiatives that improve asset reliability, operational performance and long-term asset value across the Group.

As Asset Transformation Assistant Project Manager, you'll provide the coordination, governance and reporting expertise that helps keep our transformation portfolio on track.

What you'll do

  • Coordinating the day-to-day delivery of the Reliability & Performance Transformation Portfolio

  • Supporting portfolio planning, prioritisation and delivery tracking

  • Managing governance activities, including steering group meetings, reports, action logs and decision registers

  • Monitoring milestones, risks, dependencies and issues, ensuring appropriate escalation where required

  • Producing portfolio dashboards, reports and performance insights for senior stakeholders

  • Supporting benefits tracking and realisation activities

  • Coordinating engagement across Operations, Engineering, Asset Management, Capital Delivery and Digital teams

  • Facilitating workshops, working groups and improvement activities

  • Supporting the development of business cases, investment proposals and strategic papers

  • Contributing to change and communication activities that support adoption of new ways of working

  • Maintaining programme documentation, governance records and knowledge repositories

What we're looking for

We're seeking someone who combines strong organisational skills with an understanding of asset performance, operational excellence and transformation delivery.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience supporting transformation, change or improvement programmes

  • Experience working within the water sector or another asset-intensive environment such as utilities, energy, transport, manufacturing or infrastructure

  • An understanding of asset management, reliability engineering or operational performance principles

  • Experience coordinating multiple projects or workstreams within a programme or portfolio environment

  • Strong planning, organisation and prioritisation skills

  • Experience producing high-quality reports, dashboards and presentations

  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with performance data

  • Experience supporting governance activities and stakeholder forums

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

  • A collaborative approach and ability to work across a diverse range of teams

  • Experience supporting process, data or systems improvement initiatives

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Microsoft 365

  • A Project Management qualification would be desirable.

Why join us?
