Job overview

Shape the future of Paediatric Audiology at Oxford University Hospitals.

We are seeking two experienced Band 7 Advanced Paediatric Audiologists / Clinical Scientists to join our growing team at an exciting period of service transformation. Following a Full Assurance rating from NHS England and the ICB, significant investment has been secured to further develop our service, including a new paediatric audiology facility in Banbury.

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine advanced clinical practice with leadership, service development and team management. Working alongside other Team Leaders and the Head of Paediatric Audiology, you will help deliver outstanding care for children and families while contributing to the ongoing development of a modern, innovative service.

Flexible working options are available, with opportunities for full-time or part-time appointments.

Main duties of the job

You will provide highly specialised paediatric audiology services, undertaking complex behavioural and objective assessments, hearing aid fitting, verification and rehabilitation for babies, children and young people with a wide range of hearing needs.

Alongside your clinical responsibilities, you will play a key role in service improvement, supporting the development of new pathways and helping to shape the future of paediatric audiology across Oxfordshire.

You will also lead, support and develop colleagues through supervision, coaching and mentorship, ensuring high standards of patient care and professional practice. Dedicated time is provided for leadership, service development, training and management responsibilities.

We are looking for an HCPC-registered Clinical Scientist or AHCS-registered Audiologist with significant NHS paediatric audiology experience, excellent clinical skills and a passion for developing services and supporting others.

Join us and make a lasting difference to the lives of children and families while developing your own leadership and specialist expertise within a supportive and forward-thinking team.
