The role
What you'll be doing
As the Senior Risk Partner for a key area within Group Customer & Communications, you'll work closely with a Director and their leadership team to provide risk oversight, advice and constructive challenge, helping them make informed decisions and deliver good customer outcomes. You'll support the identification, assessment and management of risks across business activities, strategic initiatives and change programmes, ensuring risk and control considerations are embedded throughout.
You'll review existing processes, controls and operating practices against internal policies, regulatory requirements and industry standards, identifying opportunities to strengthen the control environment and improve risk management capability. You'll work with stakeholders across GCC to develop practical solutions, support process improvements and drive the delivery of actions that address control weaknesses and emerging risks.
You'll also support reviews carried out by Internal Audit, Compliance & Regulatory Affairs, first line assurance teams and regulators, analysing findings and helping stakeholders respond effectively. Alongside this, you'll share your expertise across the wider team, supporting the development of risk capability and promoting a strong and sustainable risk culture.
About you
As a minimum you'll have:
Experience working within financial services, ideally in a first line risk environment
Experience providing risk and control advice to business stakeholders in a customer-focused environment
A track record of influencing and constructively challenging senior stakeholders to support informed decision-making
Experience assessing risk impacts and recommending actions that balance customer, commercial and regulatory requirements
The ability to identify control weaknesses, emerging risks or process gaps and recommend appropriate improvements
Experience conducting or contributing to reviews against policies, regulatory requirements, controls or risk frameworks
Experience presenting complex risk issues, findings and recommendations to senior audiences
Evidence of managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes within agreed timescales
Experience supporting audit, assurance, compliance or regulatory reviews and responding to associated findings and actions

Feel what customers feel - We step into our customers' shoes, using their feedback and insights to empathise with them and to understand their needs, so that every decision we make starts and finishes with our customers in mind
Say it straight - We are brave in speaking out and saying what we think - we're honest and direct with good intent, openly sharing diverse perspectives to reach the best conclusions and using language everyone can understand
Push for better - We don't settle for mediocrity, we challenge the status quo, taking responsibility for continuous improvement and personal development
Get it done - We prioritise what will have the greatest impact, we are decisive, and we take accountability for delivering brilliant customer outcomes
You can strengthen your application by showing how our customer first behaviours resonate with you, and where you may have already demonstrated these.
