The role
Summary
We are looking for 2 Holidays Cottage Cleaners to clean and prepare our stunning holiday cottages in Veryan and Porth (just outside Portscatho).
Salary: £12.75 per hour
Contract: Permanent
Hours/ working pattern: 416 hours per year (averaging 8hrs per week). This role is based on annualised hours, where the amount of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in 12 equal instalments over the year.
The changeover days can fall any day from Monday to Saturday hence flexibility is essential due to popular short breaks and late bookings. Flexible hours can be discussed at interview. The start time would typically be 9.30 - 10 am and the changeover time will vary from 4 to 6 hours depending on what needs doing. Rotas are issued in advance and we will try to accommodate other commitments.
Internally you will be known as a 'Holidays Operation Assistant'
To find out more about this vacancy call Damian on 07929 399280 or email damian.morley1@nationaltrust.org.uk
As the cottages are remote you will require your own transport as public transport is limited.
For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
Our holiday cottages are popular all year round where guests love taking in the network of footpaths, creeks, cliffs, woodland, and open countryside or relaxing on the beautiful beaches at Towan, Carne and Pendower.

What you'll be doing
The successful candidates will be responsible for looking after our holiday cottages. On changeover days, you'll make sure that everything is prepared for our guests to arrive. This will include making sure the cottage is thoroughly cleaned, well-presented and welcoming for our guests. We'd also like you to keep an eye out and report any repairs or odd jobs that need doing along with replacing any broken items from the store supplies. You'll need to be able to manage your own time and organise a diary for all the bookings. We will give you plenty of support and training and you'll be very much part of a wider team.
Full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and cleaning materials are provided.
