User Researcher - Inside IR35 - Hybrid - Until March 2027

Contract Role | Inside IR35 | Hybrid (Bristol)

We're looking for an experienced User Researcher to join a multidisciplinary digital team delivering user-centred services within a complex public sector environment.

Working closely with product managers, designers and developers, you'll help ensure services are designed around genuine user needs. You'll plan and deliver user research activities, facilitate testing sessions, analyse findings, and provide clear recommendations that shape product and service decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, design and deliver user research activities across the service lifecycle
• Recruit participants, create discussion guides and facilitate research sessions
• Analyse and synthesise research findings into clear, actionable insights
• Present research outcomes to stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
• Collaborate with product, design and development teams to influence service improvements
• Support continuous discovery and iterative design within an agile environment
• Help build a strong understanding of user behaviours, needs and pain points

Essential Experience

• Strong experience conducting a range of user research methods
• Ability to identify research objectives and select appropriate methodologies
• Experience analysing qualitative and quantitative research data
• Skilled at presenting findings in a clear, engaging and actionable way
• Understanding of inclusive research practices and diverse user needs
• Experience working within multidisciplinary delivery teams
• Experience involving colleagues in research, analysis and insight generation
• Understanding of agile delivery approaches

Contract Details

• Location: Hybrid - Bristol (weekly onsite initially, reducing to monthly attendance)
• Contract: Until March 2027
• IR35: Inside IR35
• Security Clearance: BPSS eligible
