Senior Planning Engineer

The Opportunity
We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to support the delivery of major projects within a highly regulated and complex engineering environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading project team, driving planning and scheduling excellence across the full project lifecycle, from project initiation through to delivery and close-out.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining and analysing integrated project schedules, providing critical planning insight to ensure successful programme execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain project structures including WBS, OBS, RBS and CBS.
- Produce, baseline and manage integrated project schedules (Level 1-3).
- Ensure alignment between scheduling, financial and resource management systems.
- Perform critical path analysis and schedule performance reporting.
- Develop resource and cost-loaded schedules to support project forecasting and delivery.
- Lead schedule updates, progress reporting and impact assessments.
- Conduct schedule risk analysis and support project risk management activities.
- Facilitate interactive planning workshops and rolling-wave planning sessions.
- Support change control processes through planning impact assessments.
- Integrate supplier and subcontractor schedules within the master programme.
- Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis and performance reporting.
- Develop what-if scenarios and recovery plans where required.

Rate: £60.00 - £70.00 per hour Umbrella OR £45.27 - £52.74 per hour PAYE
IR35 Status: Inside IR35
Security Clearance: BPSS & SC Clearance Required (British Nationals Only)
