Were looking for experienced Senior Java Developers to join a large-scale, cloud-first digital transformation programme delivering critical public-facing services used by millions of people across the UK.

This is a genuinely senior engineering role suited to developers who take ownership, challenge assumptions, and proactively solve problems. Youll be expected to investigate issues, understand the wider business and technical context, influence engineering decisions, and confidently articulate what good software engineering looks like.

Strong communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills are just as important as technical capability.

  • Build resilient microservices and API-driven solutions
  • Contribute to architecture and engineering best practices
  • Support operational stability, performance and resilience of live services
  • Work within multidisciplinary Agile teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle
