What we're looking for

  • Significant experience operating at Senior Delivery Manager level within complex digital delivery environments.
  • Strong background working across multi-supplier and/or managed service delivery models.
  • Proven ability to mobilise delivery teams quickly and implement proportionate governance structures.
  • Experience managing delivery spend, resource planning, risks, issues and cross-team dependencies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including reporting to senior leadership.
  • Strong leadership, facilitation and relationship-building capability.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in fast-moving environments with competing priorities.
  • Strong understanding of Agile delivery and user-centred design principles, with the ability to apply methodologies pragmatically rather than rigidly.

Senior Delivery Manager
6-Month Contract | Hybrid (2 Days per Week Onsite) | UK Wide

Were looking for an experienced Senior Delivery Manager to join a major public sector digital transformation programme. This is an opportunity to lead complex delivery activity across multiple teams and suppliers, helping to drive successful outcomes within a large-scale, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead the delivery of complex digital programmes and services, coordinating multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
  • Rapidly establish effective governance, reporting frameworks, delivery controls and ways of working.
  • Manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment around shared priorities, milestones and delivery plans.
  • Oversee dependencies, risks, issues, blockers, resources and delivery budgets, escalating where required.
  • Provide clear, evidence-based reporting to senior stakeholders on progress, risks, decisions and financial position.
  • Foster strong collaboration between technical teams, delivery partners and business stakeholders.
  • Balance pace, quality and governance in a dynamic and often ambiguous delivery environment.
  • Support knowledge transfer and capability build-up, leaving sustainable delivery practices in place.
