This is a varied, frontline role where you will help maintain a safe and secure Centre while providing a welcoming, helpful, and reassuring presence for visitors, colleagues, and brand partners.

The role combines security, customer service, and day-to-day Centre support. You will respond to incidents and emergencies, assist visitors and retailers, identify and report potential risks and work closely with colleagues to create a safe and positive environment for everyone on site.

We value teamwork, good communication and a willingness to learn. You will be supported by an experienced team, with opportunities to develop your skills and progress your career.

What you'll do

As a Security Officer, you will play an important part in the safe and smooth running of the Centre.

  • Safeguarding the Centre, its visitors, colleagues, brand partners and assets through regular patrols and monitoring, in accordance with the site's Assignment Instructions and Health & Safety procedures.
  • Providing a welcoming, professional, and helpful presence across the Centre, assisting visitors, colleagues and brand partners when required.
  • Responding to and supporting the management of incidents, emergencies, and evacuations, ensuring procedures are followed effectively.
  • Working closely with other members of the security team to provide a coordinated and professional service.
  • Identifying and reporting suspicious activity, security concerns, and potential risks, taking appropriate action in line with site procedures.
  • Supporting the prevention of theft, damage, and other security incidents.
  • Helping to maintain a safe environment during evening operations, including the Centre's night-time economy.
  • Managing vehicle movements within the Centre.
  • Remaining vigilant for signs of fire, flooding and other hazards, reporting concerns, and taking appropriate action when required.
  • Providing a high standard of customer service while maintaining a visible, professional, and reassuring security presence.

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with a positive and professional approach who enjoys working with people and contributing as part of a team.

You will need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong customer-service focus and the ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of people.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A valid SIA Licence, either Door Supervisor or Security Guarding.
  • Good attention to detail and a responsible approach to your work.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role.
  • A 5-year checkable work history.

Why Join Us?

Whether you already have experience within the security industry or are looking to continue developing your career, you'll be part of a team that values professionalism, teamwork, customer service, and development.
