The role

Join a leading European medical diagnostics company who provide laboratory, pathology, genetics and imaging services across 14 countries. The Legal Counsel will advise across commercial contracts, data privacy, medical claims and legal risk within the UK business

What you'll do

Reporting to the Head of Legal UK, this role will include the following responsibilities:

Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including services, consultancy, confidentiality and collaboration arrangements.
Manage a range of contentious matters, including medical claims, complaints, litigation, inquests and dispute resolution.
Advise the business on legal and commercial risk, providing practical recommendations and supporting compliant decision-making.
Provide legal support on pharmaceutical matters, including agreements, compliance requirements, conflicts of interest and associated risks.
Advise on data privacy, including UK GDPR, data sharing, confidentiality and privacy risk assessments.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Legal Counsel should have:

A qualified solicitor in the UK or other relevant jurisdiction
Experience in handling legal matters within the life science industry.
Strong understanding of contract law and regulatory compliance.
Experience of handling disputes & litigation would be highly beneficial
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
